Monte Lake Forest Products Cares About The Environment
As a user of a natural resource, we are well aware of the need to protect the environment. This is also part of being a good corporate citizen. At Monte Lake Forest Products we promote the use of wood products as a good choice for the environment because wood products are both a renewable resource and a recyclable one.
As well, we seek to minimize the environmental impact of our operations, prevent pollution and strive for continuous improvement of our environmental performance.
We operate in compliance with all applicable laws pertaining to the environment and regularly review our practices and procedures to monitor and report on environmental performance. We work with our employees and contractors to develop and maintain environmentally responsible work practices.
MLFP does not perform any logging; instead, we contract out logging operations to companies that share our concern for environmental responsibility. These companies must meet all government requirements and have a proven track record before Monte Lake Forest Products will entrust them with logging under our Forest License.
